2) Seven Sisters The seven Brutus
sisters grew up in a small fishing village on the western coast of South
Africa. Their quaint cottage overlooked the untamed waters of the
Atlantic Ocean. Circumstances saw the sisters leave the tranquility of
their homeland. Twenty-years later, they came together to create fine
wines. The wines, carefully selecfted to match the unique styles and
personalities of each sister, celebrate their bond and devotion to one
another, a fitting tribute to sisterhood indeed! |

Seven Sisters Odelia
Bukettraube South Africa is one of the few wine-producing countries in the world to bottle Bukketraube (pronounced Bu-Ke-traw-bah), a fine grape varietal brought over from Germany. Made from 100% Bukketraube grapes, Seven Sisters Odelia has a deep straw hue and aroma. With hints of melon, stone fruit and lychee similar to those found in other German-bred grapes, it is a light, off-dry treat that is sure to |
delight. The wine has balanced acidity and pairs well with any rich, slightly sweetened entrée such as seafood ravioli in butter sauce. Odelia also makes for an excellent aperitif or dessert wine. |
On a side note: Stephen says he has been searching for a German Bukketraube wine to try, but has not been able to find one. Thus, it seems South Africa is currently the only place where this varietal can be found! |
As Stephen says: “Drink Well, Do Good”, and VSGal is continuing to do just that!
